I have many friends that have been to the east and tried different dishes we usually don’t make or get served in the west. Probably the closest we come to it is the cheap kebab place on the corner or something like that, but honestly it’s important for me to inform you about these specialties. Let’s get into it:
Hummus is my number one on the list, and it’s for several reasons. Hummus’ main ingredient is chickpeas, but it also contains olive oil, tahini, lemon juice, sumac, cumin, garlic, salt and pepper, depending on who’s making it. Everyone can make their own special hummus. What you do is mix all ingredients in a food processor to create a creamish texture. It’s perfect to mix with just about anything, seriously.
